Coaching with
HEATHER HESTER
Do you feel like you're losing your child?
When your child comes out or begins to express their identity, the fear of saying the wrong thing can feel paralyzing. If you’re a parent of a queer or questioning teen and you’re not sure what to do next, you’ve already taken the first step by being here.
You're Not Failing
If you're here, it's because this relationship matters more to you than being right.

Maybe you're lying awake replaying a conversation you wish had gone differently. Maybe you're watching your kid pull back, and you can't figure out how to reach them. Maybe you're searching "what to say when your child comes out" at 1am because you don't know who to ask in real life.

That doesn't mean you're doing this wrong. It means you're paying attention. And that's exactly where this work begins.

Most parents of queer and questioning teens feel this way. Almost none of us talk about it. You being here already shows how much you care about everyone's well-being, including your own.
The Brave Belonging Method
Three phases. Four months. A real shift in how you show up for your child and yourself.

This is Heather Hester's private 1:1 coaching experience. It blends evidence-informed tools with the kind of wisdom that only comes from living it. Heather is a parent of LGBTQ kids. She has been where you are. And she built this method from what actually worked, in her own family and in the families she's walked alongside since.
1

Unlearn

Let go of the fear, the guilt, and the old conditioning that's keeping you frozen. Start to understand where your reactions are coming from so you can choose something different.

2

Embrace

Rebuild the way you communicate, with your child and with yourself. Learn to show up with curiosity instead of dread, and self-compassion instead of self-criticism.

3

Empower

Step into confident, grounded action. Build a home where pride and belonging are real, not just language. Become the parent your kid already hopes you can be.

What Becomes Possible
  1. ~ Conversations with your kid that feel real instead of guarded
  2. ~ Knowing what to do when a hard topic comes up instead of freezing
  3. ~ Clarity about what your child actually needs from you right now

~ Being able to talk to your partner about this even when you see it differently

~ Sleeping through the night again

~ A home where your child feels safe enough to keep being honest with you

Heather Hester has walked this path.
She is a parent of LGBTQ kids. She has sat in the car after drop-off trying to figure out what she could have said differently. She has searched online at 2am for answers she never imagined she'd need to search. She has done the slow, unglamorous work of unlearning what she was taught so she could show up for her children as they actually are.

She wrote a book about it. She built a podcast around it. And she created this coaching method from what really helps, in her own home and in the homes of the families she's supported since.

Working with Heather doesn't feel like hiring a coach. It feels like finally having someone in your corner who gets it because they've lived it.
